Alonzo and Evelyn Williams Scholarship

Amount: $500
The purpose of the Alonzo and Evelyn Williams Scholarship is to provide scholarships to graduating seniors that are residents of Dania Beach, FL and/or attend Hollywood High School or South Broward High School. Applicant must be a graduating senior who have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to service and education. In order to apply, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Plan to attend a two-year or four-year accredited college or university in the Fall
- A 400 - 600 word essay must also be included with the application
- 2 Letters of Recommendation
The Williams’ Family strives to provide students with opportunities to discover, understand, and appreciate some aspect of the American dream. This year’s essay contest prompt is “Having an education gives you freedom. Please discuss how education and diversity contributes to life in America.”
