Surrounded by the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean, cushioned with natural white powdery sand and swaying palms, lies the popular, highly sought-after majestic island – Nassau, Bahamas. Located 184 miles off the coast of Miami, Florida, Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas. It’s a slice of paradise and an island filled with rich culture and big hearts. One of those big hearts is Angel Williams.

“It’s coming home,” remarked, Angel Williams, CEO and Founder of the Tampa, Florida, U.S. based, The Shine Firm (TSF). Williams native Caribbean roots runs far and wide, so when the opportunity to sponsor the 2022 summer Inaugural Bahamas All-Pro Celebrity Weekend powered by REV with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Williams was game ready!

With the fast approaching 2022 – 2023 football season, many athletes like to give back to community while staying in shape during their off-season. The high caliber athletic weekend welcomed several national football league personalities, including Indianapolis Colts and Bahamian gridiron football wide receiver, Michael Strachan.

The power-filled weekend provided an opportunity for 250 aspiring Bahamian student athletes to take the field at Thomas A. Robinson stadium alongside pro football giants.

Building A Legacy

“I was one of those youth,” recalled Williams.

Williams makes it her business as a philanthropic agent and business owner to not only be a role model in the industry, but to partner with like-minded individuals or companies who inspire to give back. “It’s the long-term impact – leaving a legacy that is sustainable,” explained Williams.

This is a legacy The Shine Firm is committed to lead. Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion. “Bring on the passion,” exclaimed Williams!

Get Involved

Williams traded in her business suit and heels for sneakers and athletic attire.

“As a sponsor, I ran the extra mile. I enjoy volunteering, interacting with youth and building relationships.” Observing super stars like LA Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen and Superbowl winning Rashad Fenton, who currently plays for the Kansas City Chiefs go eye-to-eye with under-represented youth, fuels my spirit. Professional athletes bring the magic, and I help bring the connections,” said Williams.

With intentional partnerships, building communities for a better tomorrow, for the generations to come, seal the deal for a more prosperous legacy for our children’s children, children….

Get Ready to Shine

Sports tourism is a growing industry in the Caribbean. “I’m happy to be in a position to not just look back, but to give back,” smiled Williams.

The Bahamas sports ministry plans to have annual All-Pro Celebrity Weekend events. In the mean-time, Williams is traveling for business, building legacies and working on the grand opening of her second office in Atlanta, Georgia.
